Comprehensive Care of Terminal diseases

Terminal illnesses are chronic and progressive conditions that cannot be cured and often require palliative care to manage symptoms and improve quality of life. In Nigeria, terminal illnesses pose a significant burden on patients, families, and the healthcare system.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally and accounts for 70% of cancer-related deaths in low- and middle-income countries, including Nigeria.

Nigeria reports 72,000 cancer deaths annually and 102,000 new cases. Hope Beyond Cancer" is a comprehensive medical outreach program that provides cancer patients the focal point  and others living with terminal illnesses with access to:

  • Emotional and psychological support 
  • Awareness and education
  • Basic medical screening for early detection and identification of cancer
  • Treatment and referrals

Our mission is to empower patients and their families through compassionate care, innovative resources, and a network of professionals dedicated to improving outcomes and enhancing quality of life. By bringing a culture of hope, we aim to transform this illness journey and inspire a brighter future for all.

Our basic activities for the Hope Beyond Cancer" outreach program include

  1. Emotional and psychological support: Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families facing terminal illnesses.
  2. Basic Free Cancer Screenings: self Breast examination, colon prostate cancer awareness, and screenings to detect cancer early.
  3. Educational Workshops: Cancer awareness, healthy lifestyle choices, and stress management education. 
  4. Support Groups: Patient and family support groups to connect with others and share experiences.
  5. Referral Services: Connecting patients with cancer specialists, treatment centers, and resources.
